The way you use these classes with your students is going to be unique to your teaching style and their learning context, so feel free to be flexible and selective with this material. I hope you find it useful and it will make your life as an IELTS tutor a little bit easier :)

You can follow these guidelines to maximize your students’ (and your own) benefit as you engage with these classes:

  1. Start by going through the Teacher’s Notes - they are organized in such a way that is going to help you make sense of the class structure and not miss out on any important points about the IELTS format that you need to make in class / questions you need to ask your students to get them thinking in IELTS terms and raise their awareness of language. You can just keep the Teacher’s Notes page open in class for reference - you probably won’t have to make any other notes or prepare in any other way.
  2. The course is based on the flipped homework approach, so make sure to give your students ample time to work with the source (a week is a fair amount of time). The flipped homework is attached at the top of the class page.
